Breakfast Before Bed

July 20, 2010

Must See Nutrition Videos

If summer morning workouts leave you feeling drained for the rest of the day, consider eating breakfast before bed. On runnersworld.com, sport nutritionist Leslie Bonci recently recommended a few bedtime breakfasts to dive into as a way to top off your muscle and liver glycogen stores, which deplete overnight depending on what you eat and when. And along with the waffles and light syrup suggested, Bonci adds that pre-bedtime fueling is a good time to drink more fluids.

Check out runnersworld.com for more advice from Leslie about what to eat to avoid an afternoon energy slump.
