Nike Northside/Southside Challenge

October 21, 2010

Approximately 45,000 runners from across the globe flocked to the streets of the Windy City on October 10, for the annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Participants in the 26.2-mile mayhem had to be at least 16 years of age. However, younger runners got a taste of the experience as part of Nike’s Northside/Southside Challenge, an annual event that brings together 20 boys' and 20 girls' teams from area high schools for a 2.62-mile race across the Chicago Marathon finish line.

We caught the action firsthand so we could bring you this exclusive look. Scope out the episode above.
