Drink Muscle-Building Chocolate Milk and Join Team Refuel

Meet Team Refuel: NBA superstar Chris Bosh, Olympic athlete Apolo Ohno and University of Minnesota hockey strength coach Cal Dietz [one of STACK's coaches] top the list. Team Refuel is searching the country for someone else to join its roster of elite athletes, coaches and trainers “who know low-fat chocolate milk is a ‘natural’ for post-workout recovery.” And that elite athlete just might be you.

Team Refuel advocates drinking low-fat chocolate milk after a workout, claiming it naturally contains most of the nutrients other recovery drinks must add in the lab. Plus, low-fat chocolate milk has the right mix of carbs and protein to refuel muscles after a tough workout.

The Team Refuel website offers a handy breakdown of how low-fat chocolate milk repairs and rebuilds muscles, rehydrates and replaces electrolytes. And they back up their claims with a variety of studies showing just how chocolate milk helps you gain lean muscle and refuel your body.

Applicants will be voted on, and each month, the five athletes with the most votes will be invited to join Team Refuel. Each will receive a $250 grant. The five groups with the most votes will each receive $500.

Applications are accepted from the 1st to the 15th of each month. If you are  selected, consider using your grant for training equipment or camps that will improve your athleticism.
