Maya Moore Wears the Jordan Fly Wade

September 9, 2011

After making history at the University of Connecticut by winning a record 90 straight Division I  basketball games, Maya Moore was selected first overall by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2011 WNBA Draft. At UConn, she ranks fourth in total points scored (2,168), fourth in career rebounds (963) and fifth in career three-point field goals (243).

Adding to her impressive hoops resume, Moore recently became the first female athlete to sign an endorsement deal with Jordan Brand. Her favorite kick is the 2011 Jordan Fly Wade, which she wears for away games in a grey-dominant colorway.

In the photo below, Moore wears her personalized shoes in her second professional game, against Candace Parker and the Los Angeles Sparks.

The Jordan Fly Wade is Dwyane Wade’s first signature shoe in the Jordan collection. Weighing in at just 13.7 ounces, they are the lightest Jordan shoe manufactured thus far.

The Jordan Fly Wade — $139.99

The Jordan Fly Wade, constructed with synthetic leather and textiles, is designed to give great support despite its light weight. Perforations on the sides help keep the feet cool and ventilated. The Fly Wade also incorporates strategically-placed laces to reduce lace pressure, and the signature Jordan cushioning along the heel and Achilles provides even more comfort.
