The Look: Serena Williams' Signature Style

September 9, 2011

With one of the fiercest tennis games around and four Grand Slam tournament victories under her belt, Serena Williams has been the object of both scrutiny and praise for her unusual, colorful tennis outfits, both on (and off) the court.

In 2002, she raised eyebrows by wearing  a black lycra catsuit to the U.S. Open. More recently, she tweeted a photo of herself in a bright pink spandex suit, explaining later that she wore it for compression to help her recover from a hematoma.

Tennis aside, fashion is one of Willams' serious passions. She even launched her own clothing line, called Aneres (Serena spelled backward), along with an accessories line, in partnership with HSN.com, called “Signature Statements.”
