"What Light Can Do": RGIII Talks About adidas' adiZero Sonic 3

April 19, 2012

RGIII Running in adiZero Sonic 3

The latest running shoe from adidas, the adiZero Sonic 3, made its debut yesterday with a TV spot featuring projected #1 or #2 2012 NFL Draft pick Robert Griffin III. In the commercial, RGIII trains in the Sonic 3, even managing to hit up his alma mater, Baylor University's Floyd Case Stadium. Griffin explains how the pure lightness of the shoe gives him an extra boost when lifting off the field and living up to the high and heavy expectations placed on him.

Mikal Peveto, running director for adidas U.S., says, "The newest member of the adidas family, RGIII proved that adiZero lightweight shoes are core to a successful training regimen—with his explosive start off the line; the fastest 40-Yard Dash time for a quarterback in half a dozen years; and a near flawless Pro Day performance."
