The ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 is set to hit stores next week. Although its biggest selling point is a QWERTY keyboard, which turns the tablet into a full-fledged notebook, the Transformer offers a wide variety of high-end features, making it one of the best Android tablets on the market.
The screen, made from a durable, scratch-resistant IPS Panel, produces a wide color range and can be viewed from angles up to 178°. The touchpad keyboard includes a 3.5mm audio jack, two USB ports and a built-in SD Card reader for easy file sharing and additional storage. Using the keyboard dock extends the battery life from 9.5 to 16 hours—eliminating on-the-road emergency battery shortages.
The Transformer's high-resolution screen rivals the sharpness and clarity of the new iPad display. You can browse the Web at high speeds and get where you need to go with a handy GPS. Also, the Transformer’s HDMI 1.3a port can facilitate delivery of an enhanced multimedia experience by connecting to an HDTV.
A 5MP rear and 1.2MP front-facing camera can record HD video, which can then be output to an HDTV via the mini-HDMI output port, making the Transformer a true mobile entertainment device. Record your training form and technique on your computer-cum-tablet, quickly attach the keyboard to edit and prepare the video, and review it with your coach after practice.
This super versatile media hub ranges in price from $499 for the 32GB model to $599 for the 64GB version. As with other Transformer tabs, the detachable dock will be sold separately.
