Olympic Gold Medalist Vincent Hancock's Skeet Shooting Technique

August 1, 2012

U.S. Skeet Shooter Vincent Hancock wins Gold Medal at 2012 London Olympics.Vincent Hancock hit 148 out of 150 targets in the men’s skeet shooting competition, becoming the first Olympian ever to win back-to-back gold medals in a shooting event and helping the U.S.A. sweep the skeet event.

At 23 years old, Hancock was the youngest competitor in the skeet finals, but he’s a long way from the wide-eyed teenager who captured his first gold medal at the 2008 Games in Beijing. His achievement then may have surprised fans of skeet shooting.

Four years later, Hancock was brimming with confidence as he set out to defend his title in London. “I expect to win every time I compete,” Hancock says. “You can’t expect anything less.”

Fire up the video above to learn about the different skeet shooting techniques deployed by U.S. Army Sgt. Hancock.
