Samsung Galaxy Note II Hits Shelves in October

September 2, 2012 | Walid Romani

Samsung Galaxy Note II

In the wake of its $1.05 billion loss to Apple in a patent infringement lawsuit, Samsung is striking back with an October 2012 release of the Galaxy Note II, their biggest and best smartphone-tablet hybrid to date.

Thinner, lighter and brighter than its predecessor, the Galaxy Note II has mind-blowing specs:

  • A powerful battery and quadcore processor—clocked at 1.6 GHz and supported by 2GB of RAM—to make watching videos easier than ever
  • A 5.5-inch screen with 1280-by-720 pixel resolution
  • Internal storage space ranging from 16 to 64 GB, with a potential 64 GB extension
  • A stylus and S Pen technology, which enables stylus-driven functions as soon as you pop the pen out of the device (and don't worry: if you leave the pen behind, the Galaxy Note II will vibrate to remind you)
  • An 8-megapixel camera for taking great pictures and a second camera for video conferencing with family and friends.

The Galaxy Note II will be available from select retailers next month.
