STACK Tests OdorBalance's Odor Management System

October 19, 2012

OdorBalance

Not too long ago, STACK announced the launch of OdorBalance's New Sport and Apparel Odor  Management System. To a competitive bunch like we are at STACK, the company’s motto of “Odor protection that lasts” seemed more like a challenge than an endorsement. So we pulled out the nose plugs and decided to test the whole product line on one smelly athlete.

 Patrick Kugler

Meet our athlete, Patrick Kugler, a senior offensive lineman and future Michigan Wolverine.

The Test

Kugler's mom kindly turned over her son’s smelly gear after a particularly hard-fought Friday night game. We got the jersey, the compression shorts, the cup, the whole deal. Let’s just say the water turned very brown when we dumped everything in the washing machine.

You can see the process we used for getting rid of the stench by checking out these videos:

The Verdict

Although some articles of clothing came out with kind of a sterile smell, the perspiration odor was gone. How did the tagline “Odor Protection That Lasts” hold up? STACK checked in with the Kugler clan a few days later and learned that, although they didn’t spend a lot of time sniffing the gear, they definitely noticed some improvement.

Bottom line: OdorBalance won’t eliminate the need for regular washings, but it’s a great choice for athletes who have a hard time getting rid of that locker room smell. Order a system for yourself and repay your mom for all those years of giving you socks for Christmas by visiting OdorBalance.com.
