Lil Wayne's "I Am Not A Human Being II" Pushed Back

Lil Wayne I Am Not A Human Being 2

Lil Wayne has pushed back the release of I Am Not A Human Being II. The LP was originally slated for release on Nov. 13, before being rescheduled for Dec. 11. According to Billboard, the Young MC has shelved the album until 2013. (Check out some of last week's top rap releases.)

In October, Wayne told MTV that rapper/producer Kanye West would have a "big hand" in the forthcoming album and that it would feature beats from Juicy J, Cool and Dre, and David Banner. But he hasn't revealed any guest verses just yet. It's safe to assume that at least one or two of his Young Money label mates will make an appearance.

The latter half of 2012 hasn't shaped up well for Weezy. He recently suffered two seizures while on board a jet and was subsequently ordered by his doctor to rest and stay away from planes. Then, health concerns led him to skip a court date appearance for his lawsuit against Quincy Jones III—to settle a dispute over a documentary the producer filmed in 2011. He has since lost the suit, and was ordered to pay Jones $2 million.

The first album in the I Am Not a Human Being series was also released in the midst of troubling times for Lil Wayne. It came out on his birthday in late Sept. 2010, while he was serving his yearlong prison sentence at Rikers Island in New York for possession of a weapon and marijuana. (Lil Wayne's memoir, Gone Till Novemeber, documents his time in prison.)
