Twitter fights and tangles with the law dominated the news headlines in hip-hop this week.
Soulja Boy and Lil Scrappy took to Twitter this week to air out their grievances. Scrappy insisted that his issues with the "Pretty Boy Swag" rapper had nothing to do with him dating his ex-girlfriend and former Crime Mob rapper Diamond—even though she was alluded to several times during the fight. The Atlanta-based performer questioned Soulja's sexual preferences, while Soulja bragged about his ability to outspend Scrappy if he did in fact want to start a war.
Azealia Banks lashed out at yet another female rapper via Twitter. In the past, the Brooklyn rapper has gotten into a war of words with Iggy Azalea, Lil Kim, Nicki Minaj and Kreayshawn. Her latest target was up-and-comer Angel Haze. The beef apparently started after Banks viewed Haze's Twitter timeline and interpreted some of her tweets as subliminal shots. The ladies tweeted back and forth, only to later delete all evidence of the tussle—but not before each rapper accused the other of making sexual advances toward the other.
Prosecutors attempted to have Chief Keef's probation revoked earlier this week after learning that the Chicago rapper moved into an upscale neighborhood without notifying his probation officer. But the judge denied the request, stating the State did not provide any "credible evidence" during the hearing.
The controversial teen rapper is not completely out of the woods, however; he will return to court for an official probation hearing on Jan. 28 over another violation that stems from an interview with Pitchfork that was held at a gun range. The 17-year-old is currently on probation for pointing a gun at a police officer.
