Keep Your Resolution With the RunKeeper Fitness App Update

January 9, 2013 | Lana Bandoim

RunKeeper App

The RunKeeper fitness app released a new update last week to help you keep your New Year's resolutions. RunKeeper 3.0 for iOS is much more streamlined than previous versions and includes some smart updates.

Labeled the personal trainer in your pocket, RunKeeper tracks your workout by using your smartphone's GPS. The app already has 14 million users among runners, cyclists and walkers taking advantage of its features and functions. Version 3.0 now lets users add photos to their activities before posting them on social media. The RunKeeper team also improved tracking accuracy and competition with friends.

Perhaps most important for athletes who made New Year's Resolutions, the app upgrade introduces the ability to train with a preset plan. Whether you want to run a marathon or lose 10 pounds, you can find a workout plan that makes reaching your goal easier.
