Throws Four Touchdowns Against New England
Most of the time, when a quarterback throws for four touchdowns in a game in Gillette Stadium, it’s Tom Brady doing the passing. On Dec. 16, Colin Kaepernick decided to switch things up. It was Kaepernick’s four touchdown tosses (including a 24-yarder to former Patriot Randy Moss) that propelled the 49ers past New England, as the Niners offense dropped 41 points on the defending AFC champs.
For a guy who was considered a developmental quarterback coming out of college, Colin Kaepernick is having quite a year. When the San Francisco 49ers lost starting quarterback Alex Smith to a concussion in Week 10, Kaepernick slid right in and never gave the starting job back. With his ridiculous combination of accuracy, speed and arm strength, the Nevada product is changing the quarterback position, and he has his team one game away from the Super Bowl. Here are five of his best moments from the 2012 season.
