Nike's Jordan Brand is releasing a stealth-inspired All-Star collection ahead of the NBA All-Star Weekend, which kicks off this Friday, Feb. 15, in Houston.
The collection will include special editions of the Air Jordan I and III, Carmelo Anthony's Melo M9 and Chris Paul's CP3.VI. (Find out why it's good to be Chris Paul.) Each shoe will feature UV ink, which illuminates when placed under black light. The new kicks take their inspiration from the Air Jordan XX8, which was released late last year with a design based on a saying from Jordan: "By the time you see me coming, it's too late."
The Melo M9 and CP3.VI will be available first, hitting stores on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14.) Both shoes will feature Canyon, Purple, Electric Green, Black and Violet colors. The special ink can be found on the M9's outsole and the CP3's midsole.
The Air Jordan I, which dates back to 1985, will come in the same colorway as the Melo and CP offerings. But it will feature UV ink on the outsole, Jumpman logo and laces. Meanwhile, the Air Jordan III (remember the shoe's retro "stealth" colorway? We do!) will only glow around the outsole and collar. Both will be available for purchase on Feb. 16 along with the XX8, which is being released in both Black/White/Electric Green and Electric Green/White colorways.
Unsurprisingly, all of the shoes will retail over the $100 mark. The Air Jordan I will cost $115. The CP3.VI and Melo M9's will sell for $125 and $145, respectively. The Air Jordan III will sell for $160. And both versions of the XX8 will cost $250.
