Let's pretend for a moment that we aren't all completely stoked to learn that the sequel to Finding Nemo is finally moving forward—and that we won't be dragging kids to the theater or bravely sitting alone without being accompanied by an appropriately aged person (who probably wouldn't understand the brilliance of such a movie anyway). Done? Good! Because Finding Nemo 2 is coming! The sequel is coming!

Disney and Pixar have announced plans to release Finding Dory just before Thanksgiving Day in 2015. The film kicks off one year after Dory linked up with Marlin in the rescue of his son, Nemo. As the title suggests, the movie will feature the spotlight-stealing Blue Tang fish and her ocean adventures. Beyond that, little is known.

Director Andrew Stanton will return, along with Albert Brooks, the voice of Marlin, and of course Ellen DeGeneres. The comedian/talk show host is excited to reprise her role as the helpful but forgetful Dory. She released a statement crediting the studio with creating a worthwhile film.

"I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16, said DeGeneres. "But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is—it's got a lot more Dory."

Disney is taking a chance by moving the focus of the sequel to a supporting character, but Dory was widely praised as a highlight of Finding Nemo, which grossed over $921 milli0n at the worldwide box office and won the 2003 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

Finding Dory will hit theaters on Nov. 25, 2015.
