2K Games recently unveiled the cover for WWE 2K14, the company’s first wrestling release. The box features former WWE champion and Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in his trademark microphone pose.

2K Games also announced an alternate cover art contest, which gives fans the opportunity to design their own custom cover. The alternate art winner will be featured on the inside of the cover page of the retail game, so fans can check it out with a simple flip of the page.

2K Games has provided art elements and several images of WWE superstars and divas on their website, which fans can use in their cover designs.

To enter the contest, tweet your design using the hashtag #WWE2K14Cover by midnight on July 23 in the United States. The winner will not only have his or her design featured as the alternate cover art but will also receive a free copy of the video game. The runner-up will also receive a free copy of the game.

The debut trailer for WWE 2K14, entitled "Become Immortal," has also been released. It features current top wrestlers John Cena and Ryback, along with WWE legends “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, “Macho Man” Randy Savage and, of course, The Rock.

The WWE and 2K Games, a brand under Take Two Interactive, entered a multi-year agreement for exclusive publishing rights to WWE video games. The deal was made after longtime publisher of WWE games, THQ, declared bankruptcy earlier this year. Despite a change in publishers, WWE 2K14 will still be developed by Yukes, the Japanese company that has been creating WWE video games since the year 2000.
