WATCH: Tom Brady Bats Lefty, Practices Swing with Pedro Martinez
On Monday, New England Patriots QB Tom Brady took time out to practice his skills behind the plate. He was joined by former MLB pitching legend Pedro Martinez. Apparently Brady bats lefty.
Brady played baseball in high school and was drafted as a catcher by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round of the 1995 MLB Draft. He also threw out the first pitch at the Red Sox home opener against the Washington Nationals, pretty much botching it. Because Brady throws the football quite a lot with his right hand, he may have figured he didn’t have to practice with a baseball.
Instead, he put in work on his swing, and he didn’t miss the opportunity to take several selfies with David Ortiz.
