Your workout needs an upgrade.

If you're still performing the same exercises today that you were using years ago, it's time to include movements more in line with our modern understanding of the human body.

These moves build lean muscle, torch fat, correct posture, conquer pain and enhance athletic performance. They come straight from some of the fittest people on the planet.

Their effectiveness is only matched by their ease-of-access—many of them can be performed with just a single dumbbell or kettlebell.

Some of these exercises have been around a long time, but may have fallen out of favor for an extended period as we didn't truly appreciate their power.

This list doesn't include every exercise STACK recommends, of course, as it forgoes big barbell lifts like Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Presses and Cleans.

But if you make just a handful of these moves part of your routine, you're almost guaranteed to see results. I know that 10 years ago, maybe just one or two of these exercises were a part of my routine. Now, they all are.
