Tim Tebow, former NFL quarterback turned MLB hopeful, has one of the most unique diets in sports.
In 2017, Tebow revealed to GQ that he was on a ketogenic diet. In a nutshell, a ketogenic diet involves cutting down your carbohydrate intake to a negligible level, forcing your body to run on a different source of fuel. Namely, your body fat.
To replace the calories he used to get via carbohydrates, Tebow relies on high-fat foods like avocados. He says he averages four avocados each day.
That's roughly 1,300 calories a day purely from avocados!
The diet seems to be paying off.
All things considered, Tebow had a solid 2018 season with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets.
In 84 games, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner hit .273 with 6 home runs, 14 doubles and 36 RBIs.
