8-Year-Old Panthers Fan Sent Cam Newton a Letter and Paper Trophy To Cheer Him Up

It's been only a few days since the Denver Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. For the Broncos, it has been a glorious week of parades, interviews and attention. For the Panthers, not so much. Their heartbreaking defeat will take time to get over—especially for quarterback Cam Newton.

Newton had an amazing season. He had a lot of fun, set records and won the NFL MVP award. But he struggled in the big game, forced by the Denver defense into one of his worst performances. Obviously, the loss hit him hard.

Which is why one young Panthers fan was moved to cheer him up.

Eight-year-old Stephen Graham saw that Newton was upset after the Super Bowl, so he wrote him a letter and sent him a paper replica of the Lombardi Trophy.

With all the bandwagon fans out there, it's nice to see a young fan stick by his favorite player.
