Someone won't let Marcus Lattimore flourish. The electric running back burst onto the scene at the University of South Carolina in 2010, posting 1,197 yards and 17 touchdowns on his way to being named First Team All-SEC. A torn ligament in his knee forced him to miss most of the 2011 season, and 2012 went even worse when he dislocated his kneecap one month into the schedule.
Lattimore rehabbed his knee furiously, enough to convince the San Francisco 49ers to take him in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft; but the former Gamecock has yet to see the field, and he was recently put on injured reserve for the rest of the season. Here's to 2014 being the year Lattimore becomes the official heir to Frank Gore's throne.
