Bryce Harper Stars in Crazy New Gatorade Commercial

Gatorade's latest commercial features Bryce Harper and the long ball.

Gatorade announced the newest member to its team, Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper, by dropping a crazy new commercial.

Harper has been on a tear during the first month of the season. The left-handed slugger is batting .340 so far, and he's currently riding an eight-game hitting streak.

Harper becomes the third MLB player to rep the G. He joins longtime pitchman Derek Jeter and Minnesota Twins first baseman Joe Mauer (watch video to learn how Mauer uses Gatorade to fuel his body on game days.)

In the commercial, Harper steps up to the plate with a stream of red Gatorade flowing behind him like fire, then cranks a ball out of the park with "Welcome to the Jungle" blasting in the background.

Oh yeah, as the ball flies through the outfield, the leather rips away  to reveal Harper's face as he rounds the bases. It's awesome.
