After releasing Andrew Bogut, Festus Ezeli and Marreese Speights to sign Kevin Durant, the Warriors desperately need a rim protector. But if McGee is signed, that’s exactly what the 7-foot, 270-pound center would do–block shots.
The 28-year-old has been working hard this off-season, and he could bring more than just freakish athleticism and shot blocking to the Warriors. McGee has been working on his outside jumper.

Recently playing for Team Juglife at the Drew League, McGee dropped 27 points to go with 11 rebounds and 2 blocks. But not all of his points came in the paint. McGee shot several 3s. As you can see in the video below, even his misses look smooth and natural.

McGee also shows off his shooting on Twitter, where he claims to have made six deep shots in a row. The video only shows four, but we’ll take his word for it.
Shooting like this could make him the fourth Splash Brother for the Warriors.

McGee has never been a shooter and is only one for six from 3 during his eight-year career. But if he can start to consistently make it rain from deep, the Warriors could be even more dangerous—if that is even possible.
