D'Angelo Russell Is Already Grinding in Brooklyn with Late Night Workouts

D'Angelo Russell, one of the newest members of the Brooklyn Nets, took to the practice court late at night to start working on his game for the upcoming season.

D'Angelo Russell wasted no time getting into the gym after being traded to the Brooklyn Nets last week. The former, No. 2 overall pick, was dealt away in a surprising move by the Lakers, but it looks like he's embracing his new situation and being a key player and leader for the Nets as they continue to rebuild.

Check out Russell working on his ball handling and shooting off the bounce, after hours in the Brooklyn Nets practice facility.

Russell conducted this late night workout on the night before his introductory press conference for the NetsĀ and was asked about it the following day.

"I'm excited, like I said, once I heard the trade happened I was surprised," he said. "[But] I didn't look at it as a negative, I looked at it as a celebration. And I can't wait to get in the gym with these guys."
