Here's Your First Look at the Uniforms for the 2017 NBA All-Star Game

Check out what the NBA All-Stars will be wearing next month in New Orleans.

Somehow, some way, we're just a little over a month away from the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend. Initially scheduled to take place in Charlotte, then moved to New Orleans, the three-day celebration of NBA excellence is expected to be full of vibrant colors and themes that match the culture and personality of the Big Easy.

Then images of the players's uniforms dropped, and, well, we're not really sure what the theme is anymore.

The unis, a gray, white and blue colorway for the East and a black, gray and red colorway for the West, are fairly bland—devoid of any design callouts to New Orleans, like the fleur de lis that graced the uniforms the last time the game was hosted there (in 2014). A sort of cartoonish, block "W" and "E" appear on the shorts of the West and East squads, respectively, and big time NBA sponsor Kia gets a patch on the left shoulder of the jersey.

It's adidas's last year as the NBA's apparel provider, and they aren't going out with a bang. As boring as these uniforms are, we find ourselves actually longing for some of those god-awful sleeves just to give these threads some flavor.
