Like his towering teammate Dwight Howard, Houston Rockets point guard and former "Linsanity" legend Jeremy Lin has inked a deal with adidas, leaving Nike for greener pastures. "I'm really excited to join the adidas family," Lin said in a press release. "They've changed the game with new technology and style, and I can't wait to be a part of it."
Chris Grancio, head of global sports marketing for adidas, called Lin the "perfect fit for the adidas brand." A Harvard graduate, Lin will also play a big role in creating new basketball footwear and apparel for the company.
It will be interesting to see what shoe Lin wears in his adidas debut tomorrow night against the Los Angeles Lakers, and whether the new partnership will eventually lead to a Lin signature model. Stay tuned.
