Klay Thompson Shows Off Wide Receiver Skills, Burns Jimmy Butler

If basketball gets boring, Klay Thompson might have a future in the NFL.

Team USA had some down time after crushing China in their opening game of 2016 Summer Olympics, getting Sunday off before they take on Venezuela on Monday—and a few of the players took the time to hone their athletic abilities in other sports.

Klay Thompson wanted to run some wide receiver routes, and he convinced Jimmy Butler to guard him one-on-one on a go route while Team USA assistant coach Monty Williams threw him a pass. Butler had no chance against Thompson, who played quarterback for his high school football team as a freshman. The Golden State Warriors star blew by Butler and hauled in in a deep bomb from Williams.

"If the @raiders need a deep threat, I'm here for em!!" Thompson wrote in the caption of the Instagram videos. Amari Cooper and Klay Thompson lining up on the outside for Derek Carr? Doesn't sound bad at all.
