UCLA football and adidas just released a new "LA Steel" alternate uniform that pays tribute to the city of Los Angeles.
An outline of the cityscape of L.A. adorns the sleeves of a TECHFIT compression base layer worn under the jersey, which will allow it to be visible on game day. The same cityscape design is included in the UCLA script logo on the new alternate pants.
The new uniform features TECHFIT Shockweb technology, which allows the fabric to cling tightly to the body while remaining extremely lightweight.
The fresh jerseys and pants are dubbed "rich dark onyx grey" in a press release from adidas, marking the first grey uniform in UCLA history.
If the motto "look good, feel good, play good" rings true, expect UCLA to ball out this year.
The new uniform will debut some time this fall, and "LA Steel" merchandise is available now at the UCLA Team Shop.
