As you've undoubtedly heard, Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers announced that he will be retiring after this season. The five-time NBA champion has been struggling with moves he used to excel at.
Shooting a career low 30 percent from the field so far this season, Bryant knows it's time to call it quits. We can now look forward to a round of tributes as he plays in various NBA cities for the last time, acknowledging his impact on the league and the influence he has had on other players during his spectacular 20-year career.
In the above video, STACK sat in at a LeBron James shoe drop, where the Cleveland Cavaliers megastar talked about playing against Bryant. "It's the ultimate rush for me," James said, calling Bryant and himself "one-on-one the best players in the league." That was five years ago, but you can be sure that James, student of the game as he is, hugely respects Bryant and his accomplishments.
Another NBA player who appreciates Bryant is Gilbert Arenas. Also in the video player above, he talks about how hard Bryant works and the importance to his game of the mental aspect.
