Buddy Comedy 'Let's Be Cops' Stars Damon Wayans Jr.

Two guys who dress up like police officers for a masquerade party get more than they bargained for in 'Let's Be Cops.'

'Let's Be Cops'

In the comedy Let's Be Cops, two pals dress up as police officers for a masquerade party, but their costumes bring nothing but trouble as they get dragged into the world of real mobsters and rogue detectives.

When Justin (Damon Wayans Jr.) and Ryan (Jake Johnson) wear their police costumes on the street, they are surprised to find people believe they are real cops. Being perceived as heroic authority figures is a new experience for the two thirty-something guys, whose lives appear to be going nowhere. But in addition to conferring prestige, their fake badges put them in middle of all the neighborhood action, and they become the target of dangerous criminals.

The cast also features Andy Garcia, James D'Arcy, Nina Dobrev, King and Angela Kerecz.

Luke Greenfield directs the film, and he wrote the screenplay with collaborator Nicholas Thomas.

Let's Be Cops hits theaters nationwide on Aug. 13.
