To get the fans pumped, the league brought back "This Is Why We Play," videos that highlight the personal stories of NBA stars. The new spots, "Zeroes" and "29,"  feature Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook and the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers' point guard Kyrie Irving, respectively.

In "Zeroes," Westbrook talks about how last season's wins and losses don't mean a thing and that anything is possible in the new season.

In "29," Irving reveals the mindset of a defending champion and how 29 other teams are gunning to take the title away from him.

The regular season starts Oct. 25, but these videos will premiere on Oct. 13, during a TNT pre-season doubleheader featuring the Cavaliers against the Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Clippers versus the  Portland Trail Blazers.
