Revolutionary Energy With Generation UCAN

Distance runner Meb Keflezighi talks about Generation UCAN during an event at the 2010 Boston Marathon.

We've got a new product on our radar—Generation UCAN, made with "SuperStarch." Called "the little carb that could," SuperStarch is a complex carbohydrate that helps the athlete achieve metabolic efficiency and a natural, sustained energy without crashing later. Generation UCAN named SuperStarch "the Dual Fuel," because they say it effectively utilizes carbohydrates while simultaneously tapping into the body's fat stores. And don't worry, it contains electrolytes to immediately replace the ones lost through sweat, so you stay hydrated.

Athletes on board with Generation UCAN include 2009 New York City Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi, who believes that "this product…will change the face of sports nutrition. I've noticed improvements in both my performance and metabolic state." (Be on the lookout for a STACK interview with Meb in the coming weeks.)

UCAN drink mix, available in single-serving packets, should be mixed with about 16 ounces of water. Consume it before activity.  Post-workout, try the whey protein-enhanced drink mix. You can also buy plain SuperStarch to mix with whatever you choose.
