Samsung Galaxy Mega Smartphone Coming to AT&T?

Samsung Galaxy Mega

As people gear up for the Galaxy S4 release, Samsung is making news by promoting their newest phone, the Galaxy Mega. Thus far, Samsung has not announced a release schedule for the phone.

The Galaxy Mega falls into the phablet category—bigger than a phone, smaller than a tablet. The phone will be available with two different screen sizes: 6.3" and a smaller sibling, at 5.8". Both will have 720p HD resolution.

According to reports, there will be two models available—an LTE-variant and one with HSPA+, though only the latter is likely to make its way stateside. Inside the 7-ounce frame is a 1.7 GHz processor, 1.5 GB RAM, Jelly Bean 4.2, an 8 MP camera in the rear and a 1 MP in the front.

The phone will be available in either 8GB or 16GB model. If that's not enough space for you, the phone has a microSD slot for up to 64GB of additional space. Early reviews suggests the phone is a solid product, although fans may not like the screen resolution compared to the S4.

The Galaxy Mega is geared toward those who primarily use their phone as a multimedia device—to watch movies and play games—but who don't want to fork over top dollar for both a top-of-the-line one and separate tablet.
