De'Aaron Fox believes he's faster than John Wall.
The Sacramento Kings point guard has said as much during interviews, and John Calipari—who coached both players at the University of Kentucky—once told Wall he also thinks Fox is faster.
At UK, Calipari figured out that the faster he encouraged Fox to play, the better the results.
"You can't really teach speed, you either have it or you don't," Fox told NBC Sports. "For me, Coach Cal had me using that as a weapon and that's just something I learned while I was at Kentucky."
As fast-paced as Fox is on the court, he's a lot chill away from it.
His favorite hobbies include watching Dragon Ball Z (his favorite character is Vegeta) and playing video games.
But if you're competing in something, you better believe Fox is going to play to win.
"I hate losing, and that's in everything: video games, basketball, anything," Fox told The Undefeated. "I was always competitive from the time I was 10 years old to where I am now."
Fox had a solid rookie season in Sacramento, but the 20-year-old point guard is just beginning to scratch the surface of his full potential.
If he becomes a superstar, his breakneck speed will have a lot to do with it.
