Chase Utley is the oldest active position player in the MLB.

The 39-year-old Utley was born on December 17th, 1978.

The second baseman has had an awesome career to date.

Utley has six All-Star selections, four Silver Slugger awards, and a World Series ring under his belt.

He currently ranks fourth in career defensive WAR and ninth in career offensive WAR among active players.

Utley has announced he'll retire at the conclusion end of the 2018 season.
