Highest Paid NHL Player in 2018: Connor McDavid and Carey Price

Although Chicago Blackhawks teammates Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews led the NHL in salary for the 2017-2018 season at $10.5 million a piece, they'll be eclipsed next season.

Connor McDavid, a center for the Edmonton Oilers, is set to make $15 million in total salary for the 2018-2019 season, as is Carey Price, a goaltender for the Montreal Canadiens.

McDavid was the first overall pick by the Oilers in 2015.

McDavid has scored four hat tricks in his career.

McDavid won the Ted Lindsay Award and was named to the First All-Star Team in 2018.

McDavid scored 41 goals in the 2017-18 season.

Price was selected fifth overall in the 2007 NHL Draft.

Price is a six-time NHL All-Star.

In 2015, Price won eight awards, including the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goaltender.
