The Cleveland Cavaliers' Team Plane Got Detained at the Toronto Airport for Over an Hour

Why were the Cleveland Cavaliers detained at the Toronto airport?

We don't want to propound a conspiracy theory here, but the Cleveland Cavaliers' team plane being detained on the tarmac of Toronto's Pearson International Airport seems awfully fishy, given that the Cavs are up 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Were Canadian officials unprepared to clear an entire NBA team through Customs? Was some high ranking Canadian official playing mind games with the Cavs players?

Last time we checked, the team had been detained for over an hour.

Both Tristan Thompson, a Canadian native, no less, and Richard Jefferson documented the experience on social media. Thompson posted the above photo to his Instagram with the caption "waiting for customs to let them in like." Jefferson, via his Snapchat, asked Matthew Dellavadova whether he thought the delay had anything do with the Cavs' beatdown of the Raptors twice in a row back in Cleveland?

"No comment," Dellavedova responded with a smile.

Whatever the reason, making the Cavs wait to get to their team hotel is about the only way Toronto can postpone an inevitable series sweep.
