adidas Prime SP

In a sport decided by hundredths of a second, ounces matter. In the 2012 Summer Olympics, Tyson Gay is wearing the lightest sprint spike ever made. At 3.5 ounces, the adizero Prime SPs is 62 percent lighter than the adizero Demolisher, which Gay wore at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Gay's Prime SPs have been personalized with an American flag-inspired design and his daughter's name, Trinity, embroidered on the tongue. But you can purchase your own pair this month on Eastbay.com for $212. For more on Gay and his training for the 2012 London Games check out our exclusive footage.
