On Wednesday, Feb. 15, the UFC will host another free prime time television event, UFC on Fuel TV 1. The card lacks big name fighters, but it should be an awesome event nonetheless.

The main bout matches welterweights Diego Sanchez and Jake Ellenberger. A solid striker, Ellenberger comes in on a five-fight win streak, with impressive victories over UFCers Sean Pierson and Jake Shields. Sanchez is coming off two wins, but his career path has been rocky of late, and he is far away from a title shot. Given Ellenberger's momentum and Sanchez's motivation, fans can expect an excellent fight.

Heavyweight Dave Herman will put his 21-2 record on the line when he steps into the cage against the giant Stefan Struve. Both men are solid strikers who have several KO's, so this one could end early. On paper Struve seems to be the favorite, but Herman is a tough guy, whose first 15 fights were all wins. This could wind up being the fight of the night.

Other matches on this free card include:

  • Aaron Simpson vs. Ronny Markes
  • Jonathan Brookins vs. Vagner Rocha
  • Ivan Menjivar vs. John Albert
  • Stipe Miocic vs. Phil De Fries

Check your local channel listings, and tune in to Fuel TV for this live UFC event on Feb. 15 at 10 p.m. EST.
