'Uncle Drew' Has Retired. Check Out Kyrie Irving's New, Improved Nickname

The Ankletaker, forever.

For most of his NBA career, Kyrie Irving has been nicknamed "Uncle Drew," a reference to his off-court alter ego in multiple Pepsi commercials, in which Irving dresses up as an old man and schools unsuspecting youngsters on public basketball courts. Uncle Drew is a fine nickname, but I'm still a little bitter that my personal favorite, Kyrie Swerving, hasn't caught on.

It always felt like there was something better out there, waiting to be found. And now we have it.

While doing some fall cleaning around home, Irving stumbled upon the most amazing thing we've ever seen, a t-shirt depicting the Cavs point guard as the WWE wrestler The Undertaker, except the t-shirt read "The Ankletaker." It's perfect. It's beautiful. And I want 20 of those t-shirts sent to my place immediately.

Irving has been taking ankles since the moment he stepped into the NBA, so it's only right for him to have a nickname that reflects one of the best aspects of his game. Uncle Drew is officially retired. It's now the Year of the Ankletaker.
