A few days before the Tennessee Titans made him the eighth overall selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, Jack Locker faced a barrage of tests at the Gatorade Performance Lab in New York City. Gatorade's elite team of scientists measured his bodyfat percentage, anaerobic power, resting metabolic rate, hand-eye coordination, foot quickness and reaction time.

A few months prior to the NYC tests, the 6'3", 230-pound passer had submitted to the same series to establish baseline readings in all of the categories. From that point on, Jake adhered to the Gatorade Sports Science Institute's guidelines on proper workout fueling—taking in carbohydrates and electrolytes before and during intense training and consuming carbohydrates and protein following workouts. The fueling tips came at the perfect time, as Jake was preparing for the NFL Combine with multiple workouts per day at Velocity Sports Performance in Irvine, Calif.

Watch the video above for an exclusive look at how Jake performed on his tests, prepared for the Combine  and realized his dream of making it to the NFL.
