Johnny Manziel Scores 8 Touchdowns in a High School Game

After playing admirably against the Pittsburgh Steelers last weekend, Johnny Manziel was officially named the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns for the remainder of the 2015 NFL season. Despite losing 30-9, Manziel showed an ability to throw accurately from the pocket and make plays with his feet outside of it. With the Browns' record sitting at 2-8 and all hopes of a playoff position washed away, it gives the Browns a chance to monitor Manziel's growth as a potential starting quarterback in the NFL.

That's all well and good, but the best thing about Manziel's move from backup to top dog is that we now get to dive back into some absurd highlights from his time at Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas. Check out his career stat line during his time there: He threw for 7,626 yards and 76 touchdowns, and he rushed for 4,405 yards and 77 (!!!) touchdowns. He even caught three touchdown passes as a receiver.

The culmination of Manziel's abilities came in a game against rival Boerne-Champion when he was a senior. Not only did he throw for four touchdowns and run for three more, he also caught a touchdown off a double reverse. In all, Manziel was responsible for eight TDs—and one heck of a quarterback run. Enjoy.
