One-Handed Basketball Player Makes College Debut

University of Florida basketball walk-on Zach Hodskins continues to defy the odds.

Six-foot-4 shooting guard from Alpharetta, Georgia, Zach Hodskins, who happened to be born without the lower part of his left arm, walked on to the University of Florida basketball team in October of last year.

Hodskins is already seeing playing time in his freshman year. This past Friday, in Florida's 68-45 win over William and Mary, Hodskins subbed in with 2:06 left to play and took one shot at the basket; but he has yet to score his first collegiate career points. We're guessing it won't be long now.

"I've always dreamed of being here, and tonight I feel like I fulfilled that dream and now I'm just gonna take the next step forward," Hodskins told the Florida student newspaper The Alligator. Watch the video above to see Hodskins and his teammates enter the arena.
