This Absurd Chase-Down Block Might Be Giannis Antetokounmpo's Most Outrageous Athletic Feat Yet

There's never been a basketball player quite like Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The 22-year-old Milwaukee Bucks forward is currently averaging 29.2 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game, but numbers don't really do him justice. To truly appreciate just how remarkably athletic the Greek Freak is, you've gotta see him play.

Case in point—this insane rejection from last night's game against the Portland Trailblazers:

Both of those chase-down blocks were impressive, but the first one was on a different level. Look how far C.J. McCollum was in front of Giannis on the fast break:

Then consider the fact that McCollum is eight inches shorter and 32 pounds lighter than Giannis. Few other players of Antetokounmpo's size would even attempt to catch a guard like McCollum in this situation. Yet the Greek Freak turns on the jets and covers nearly 40 feet with three monstrous strides. That brings him close enough to unleash his 7-foot-3 wingspan and swat McCollum's shot off the backboard.

That's just a regular old block in the box score. But when you watch the highlight, you realize it's a block perhaps only Giannis was capable of pulling off.
