T.J. Murphy

T.J. Murphy is one of the world’s most prolific writers on endurance running. The former Editorial Director at the Competitor Group magazines, he has served as Editor-in-Chief for 'Triathlete,' 'Inside Triathlon' and 'Competitor.' His writing has also appeared in 'Outside,' 'Runner’s World,' 'Lava' and 'Women’s Runner.' Murphy is a five-time Ironman finisher, a 2:38 marathoner and most recently, a competitive CrossFitter.

Murphy’s most recent book is 'Inside the Box: How CrossFit Shredded the Rules, Stripped Down the Gym, and Rebuilt My Body.' Murphy has also penned 'Triathlete' Magazine’s 'Guide to Finishing Your First Triathlon' and 'Start to Finish: 24 Weeks to an Endurance Triathlon.' He is currently co-authoring two books due out in 2014, 'The Unbreakable Runner,' with 'Brian MacKenzie, and Ready to Run,' with Kelly Starrett.
