Brandon Jennings completes a dumbbell squat to lengthen is lateral muscles in his back. Brandon activates the core as well as the back to improve over performance on the NBA court.
Nate Costa: Brandon Jennings performed a squat with and overhead reach. He was holding ten pound dumbbells and the focus here is to lengthen the lats as you go into a squat. So a lot of times, a lot of athletes have tight backs and this type of movement is designed to lengthen the lat as you go into a squat. So it helps keep your posture. When going through the motion it activates the core.
