The Split-Squat Rotational Med Ball Throws and a Rotational Standing Hold Superset With Partner improves rotational
stability and balance.
Split-Squat Rotational Med Ball Throws:
- Maintain tall posture, keeping
core tight and feet planted firmly on ground
- Stand three yards from partner
- Rotate med ball across body and explosively throw to partner
Sets/Reps: 2x10 each side
Coaching Points:
- Lower body straight and stiff
- Utilize rotational force while throwing
Rotational Standing Holds:
- Keeping arms straight, rotate cable toward center of body
- Hold for five seconds
- Slowly release
Sets/Reps: 2x5 each side
Coaching points:
- Sit back in athletic position
