Goal: Body Control

A strong core is essential for any basketball player who wants to dominate the court. By focusing on the abs and lower back, you can develop the necessary strength to fight for rebounds or hit that game winning buzzer beater. This ab workout engages all abdominal muscles in one exercise.

Exercise: The Medicine Ball Core Circuit

-Lie on back with feet on ground and knees bent at right angle
-Hold medicine ball over chest
-Sit up, engage abs with left/right rotation
-Lower body to starting position. Repeat for specified reps
-Sets/Reps: 1x50 each direction twice per week
