About the Video
After completing the Top Half-Squat lift, Steven Jackson performs the Back Extension for two sets of 15 repetitions. When performing the Back Extension, Jackson works to keep his legs as straight as possible with his toes pointed forward. Jackson performs the exercise in a slow and controlled manner, working against the gravity when lowering from the start position and making sure to return to a parallel position with his upper body at the top of the movement. While Jackson's off-season training involves plenty of full-body power lifts, he always makes time to train his core and low back. The Back Extension is just one exercise he uses to develop well-balanced strength in his body, which is an important part of his staying healthy during the season.
